Receiving cash as a payment method comes with challenges and risks. These include longer and more complex payment processing, and the security risks of having cash on our premises. As such, we are no longer accepting cash payments for your utility services.
Beginning in 2025, WSES will only accept payments through the following methods:
- Online Banking
- Debit card (in person)
- Visa or MasterCard (in person or by phone)
- Company cheque
- Personal cheque (allow 10 business days for processing)
WSES staff will work to accommodate individuals previously using cash to help them transition to a cashless payment system.
