Important Update on Tariff and Rate Adjustments
On January 10, 2024, Bluestem informed customers about a potential refund as part of the 2023 to 2025 Rates Application process. The AUC initially approved reduced rates for the period from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023, as outlined in Decisions 27844-D02-2023 (July 25, 2023) and 28507-D01-2023 (December 14, 2023).
In August 2023, Bluestem filed a Decision Review Application under the AUC's Rule 016 to revisit specific aspects of the 2023-2025 Rates Application process. This review concluded in May 2024 with the issuance of Decisions 28707-D01-2024 (March 27, 2024) and 28707-D02-2024 (May 30, 2024), which approved a rate increase for each year from 2023 to 2025. Since these Decisions were applied retrospectively, there will be no rate reduction or refund for the period from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023.
